Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Lease Deals
Introducing the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
The Outlander PHEV is the hybrid electric version of Mitsubishi’s popular large SUV. Powered by a pair of electric motors and a 2.0 litre petrol engine, it’s capable of achieving close to 166mpg which, combined with its comparatively low price, makes it an excellent choice for families and commuters alike.
The impressive economy figures are but one part of the story of this excellent car. The car is capable of travelling up to 33 miles on the batteries alone so, if you’re daily commute is only short or your just use the car for the school run, you may be able to run the car without using any petrol at all. The batteries can be charged in 5 hours using any standard domestic socket, costing between £1 and £1.50.
In terms of insurance, the Outlander PHEV falls between group 22 and group 27, depending on the version you choose. Due to the low CO2 levels, the PHEV has a BIK rate of as low as 9%, making it very affordable as a company car.
As you would expect from a large SUV, the high driving position offers excellent visibility without the car feeling too big or unnerving to drive. It’s an extremely safe car too, reflected by its 5-star NCAP safety rating and superb scores in both adult occupant and child occupant tests.
Inside the car, the high seating position and large expanse of glass give a great view of the road ahead. Dashboard layout is simple and uncomplicated, making it easy to navigate and operate. Buttons are chunky and the ambient lighting is a nice touch.
Standard equipment levels are good with the entry level Outlander PHEV having 18” allots, climate control, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, a DAB radio, reversing camera and automatic wipers. The Juro version adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity to the already-impressive kit.
The 4h version adds sat nav, a 7” touchscreen infotainment unit, reversing camera, heated steering wheel and LED headlights. Opt for the 5h version and you’ll enjoy soft Napa leather surfaces, blue LED mood lighting in the cabin, a premium Alpine stereo system and heated rear seats.
Both the Outlander 4h and 5h come with a variety of additional safety features including autonomous emergency braking, a lane-departure warning system and active cruise control.
There’s plenty of room inside the cabin for five adults to travel in comfort. Unlike the standard Outlander, the PHEV isn’t available with seven seats. However, the boot is still roomy at 463 litres with the rear seats up. If you’re looking to tow, the PHEV is limited to 1,500kg.More info > Interested in leasing this vehicle?
